Dear
Members of the Election Committee,
It
has come to my attention that our organization (Hellenic Organization of
University Graduates of America, Inc.), was reported to your committee by the
advisory committee as ineligible to vote because of our attendance in the
general assembly meetings for the last 2 years.
I
will state some facts to indicate malice by whoever made such determination:
- This
rule of the Federations has never been enforced sine I was involved with
the federation for 15+ years. When I was the chairman of the advisory
committee. I’ve attempted to enforce it, but I was told that it is not
possible to do such, because the General Secretary never keeps an accurate
record of attendance and they never can guaranty that whoever has signed
the attendance book is in fact the person who claims he/she is.
- The
attendance book is under the control of the General Secretary and his
assistant, and the Federation has no regulations in place to guaranty its
accuracy. Also Both the Secretary General and the Advisory committee are
from the same slate.
- Our
Organization attended several general assembly meetings in the past 2
years, first with our alternate representative Mr. Pilarinos, and later
with our representative Mr. Goros. Our past representative, Ms Stathatos
refused to attend any Federation Meetings because most likely she was
intimidated by the General Secrecy’s accusations that she was ineligible
to run for the board of Directors in the last elections.
- Against
the federation’s own rules, and common sense, we did not get any official
or unofficial notification about our attendance or our representatives for
the past 2 years.
I
am asking you to postpone any actions, including the elections, and to first
fully investigate the FALES and with MALICE report of the Advisory Committee.
It
is really a sad situation, having people in control of fandom organizations,
forcing the direction of the Federation back in the dark ages.
We
are an organization with 600+ mostly Yung Professionals and it is up to you, if
you would like this group of people to be involved with our community, or
simply through them away.
I
am attaching 2 partial lists of our membership for your perusal, and I indicate
that the information on the attached files contained personal information and
it is for your committee’s use only.
